Ayman Merdas is a Partner and the Head of Criminal at Global Advocacy and Legal Counsel. A respected litigator in the UAE, Ayman has over 19 years’ experience advising clients and representing their interests in court. Ayman specialises in white-collar criminal cases, advising on matters covering corporate fraud and embezzlement; corruption and bribery; international judicial cooperation and anti-money laundering.  He also advises individuals and provides assistance with the filing of criminal complaints and representation before Public Prosecution. Ayman is licensed to appear before all Courts of the UAE, including the Federal Supreme Court, and has extensive knowledge of the civil, shari’ah and common law systems.

Ayman is regularly asked to provide legal commentary and opinions in newspapers and magazines, as well as appearing as a speaker at conferences. Ayman is an active member of the British, American and French Business Councils.
