Our History

Global Advocacy and Legal Counsel was founded in Dubai in 2002, offering litigation and dispute resolution services to clients in the UAE.  We have since opened offices in Abu Dhabi, Muscat, and Amman, and expanded to provide local, regional and international clients with a full business law service.

2023

Expansion- Global expanded to Ras Al Khaimah

2019

Expansion- Global expanded to Amman to support local clients

2017

Expansion - Established office in Muscat in partnership with Abdullah Al Owimri

2016

Rebranding - The firm rebrands for 2016 as ‘Global Advocacy and Legal Counsel’

2012

Expansion - The Abu Dhabi office opens to provide additional support to our clients based in the capital and the Eastern region

2007

Partnership - Partner Nasser Al Osaiba joins the firm

2005

Rebranding - The firm changes its name to ‘Global Advocates and Legal Consultants’

2003

Establishment of Partnership - Ayman Merdas, Ali Al Hashimi and Hassan Al Shaqsi - set up the firm ‘Merdas, Al Hashimi & Al Shaqsi’ known as ‘MHS’ in Dubai

Establishment of the Firm - Hassan Al Shaqsi established the firm in 2002.
